Bespoke Office Storage

In the Grade I listed Bessie Surtees House on Newcastle's Quayside our client at Historic England was looking to transform their Post Room into a functional & fresh space.

We spent time working up a design scheme that was sympathetic to the building's heritage, whilst injecting a new lease of life into the room, by introducing a splash of colour contrasted with stained pine to reflect the traditional influences of the building. We manufactured a portable bespoke post docket shelving unit that sat in the old fireplace recess, a workstation with bespoke shelving, and relocated IT and comms equipment into purpose-built cabinets alongside building a window seat.

We launched our Positive Steps Trainee Programme with this project, allowing our trainee to be apart of this journey.

It was a pleasure to be a part of this unique project, adding our stamp on the timeline of this wonderful building with significant cultural significance.
